Hello and Welcome!
I am Jessica; Single Mother by Choice and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Missouri & Utah. I was inspired to open Waves of Motherhood upon experiencing first hand the joys and challenges of being a mother. I am a Mamma to two young boys who I refer to often as my little whale and my little surfer. I have also fostered many children. You may be able to discern by now that I also have a love for warmth by the ocean, alas I am currently positioned right smack dab in the middle of the USA with no beach or ocean nearby.

As an LCSW, I love helping others through life's difficulties. It is my passion to support you within your own unique journey of motherhood in whatever 'wave' you may currently be in: Contemplation, Trying, Pregnancy, Infertility, Birth, Parenting, Transitioning to Grandmother, Foster, Adoption, and anything in between. All the various waves of motherhood are beautifully complex coming with their own unique sets of joys and challenges; it can be helpful to have another support along your journey, I am grateful to have the opportunity to stand alongside you.

My goal with Waves of Motherhood is to provide a safe and welcoming space for mothers to share experiences and receive the support you need to navigate the ups and downs of motherhood. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative and empowering process, and I work with each of my clients to create a personalized treatment plan that meets their unique needs and goals. If you're feeling overwhelmed by the challenges of parenting, remember that there is always hope. With the support of a caring therapist and the resilience that comes from being a mother, you can weather any storm and emerge stronger and more confident than ever before. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your path.
Together, we can ride the waves of motherhood and emerge stronger, more resilient, and more confident than ever before.

One thing to know about me...
I love to have meaning in names!
The name "Waves of Motherhood" was chosen with great intention, and is meant to represent the ups and downs, ebb and flow, and constant movement that can come with motherhood.

Just like the waves of the ocean, motherhood can be unpredictable and ever-changing. One moment you may feel like you're riding high on a wave of joy and contentment, while the next you may find yourself struggling to keep your head above water.

But just as the ocean has inherent power and strength, so to do mothers. You have an innate ability to weather the storm, to adapt and adjust to changing circumstances, and to find moments of peace and tranquility even amidst the chaos.

By choosing the name "Waves of Motherhood," I hope to remind you that you are not alone in this journey. Together, we can navigate the challenges and celebrate the victories, always moving forward with strength, resilience, and grace.
So whether you're trying to conceive, adjusting to life with a new baby, or navigating the challenges of raising young children, know that you are capable, powerful, and surrounded by support. Let's ride the waves of motherhood together.

How do I get started?

Set.
The next step would be to schedule your first appointment with me. You’ll get new client paperwork after deciding the day and time of your first session. You can start on this step as well if you feel a consult is not necessary.
